Monsplasty (Pubic Lift)

Sagging of the pubic area is common after significant weight loss and following pregnancy. A pubic lift aims to restore a more youthful appearance of the mons pubis and is often combined with liposuction of the lower abdomen or abdominoplasty.

How is it performed?
The procedure is usually carried out under local anesthesia with sedation and lasts about one hour.
During surgery, a small strip of skin is removed just above the mons pubis, slightly below the typical cesarean section incision line, so that the resulting scar is almost invisible. Through this incision, the area is lifted and reshaped to achieve a more youthful appearance.
It is commonly combined with liposuction of the mons pubis for optimal results.

What should I expect after surgery?
As mentioned above, the procedure is performed under local anesthesia with sedation, and you can return home the same afternoon. The sutures used are internal and absorbable, so no removal is required.
Postoperative pain is very mild and is easily managed with simple painkillers such as paracetamol or similar analgesics. Some swelling may appear after surgery, which gradually subsides over 3–4 weeks. The scar may initially appear red but will slowly fade and become almost imperceptible.

When can I return to my activities?
You may resume light activities within one to two days and return to light work within 3–5 days. Full return to normal activities, including exercise, is usually expected within 2–3 weeks.
